There's still plenty of space to plant trees.

For many years, Mr. Binh's village has been praised for its spring tree-planting movement. Now, in addition to being the village head, Mr. Binh also serves as the Director of the commune's agricultural cooperative, so he has to pay even more attention. On the very first day of work after Tet, Mr. Binh used a loudspeaker to invite representatives from various organizations to the community center for a discussion. After taking attendance of all the representatives, Mr. Binh began:

- At the beginning of spring, the new year, I wish all comrades and their families good health, wealth, and prosperity. I invite you all here to discuss how this year's tree planting campaign will be implemented.

After hearing Mr. Binh's words, Ms. Minh, the head of the Women's Association of the village, offered her opinion:

- I've noticed that in recent years, our village has planted trees along almost all the roads, including the paths leading to the fields, and in the grounds of the village temple, pagoda, and cultural center... The land is completely full, so where else can we plant them?

After listening to Ms. Minh's speech, Mr. Binh realized that indeed, for many years, the village had done a good job with the tree-planting movement, so wherever there was empty land, trees were planted right at the beginning of the year. Mr. Binh suggested:

- Ms. Minh is absolutely right. If our village asks for shade tree saplings again this year, we won't know where to plant them. Do you comrades have any suggestions?

Mr. Ha, the newly appointed Youth Union Secretary, would like to offer the following suggestions:

- I'd like to suggest this: This year, our village should launch a campaign to renovate neglected gardens. Many houses in our village have large gardens, but they grow many types of plants that don't bring much economic value. Many houses let the plants grow wild and overgrown, like abandoned gardens.

Many people agreed with Mr. Ha's proposal. Mr. Binh, however, asked with concern:

- Planting shade trees along the roadside is easy, but renovating overgrown gardens is difficult because it depends on the needs of each family and the budget for purchasing seedlings. According to Mr. Ha, how would you solve that problem?

- I've been thinking about this for days and have proactively discussed it with the Secretary of the Youth Union of the commune. Every year, the Youth Union calls on businesses to support the purchase of saplings for members to participate in the movement, but mainly shade trees. This year, I've suggested that the commune's Youth Union seek sponsorship for high-quality fruit tree saplings. Do you ladies and gentlemen have any other ways to encourage the villagers to contribute their labor and resources to improve the orchards?

"The youth union's approach is excellent. I will also suggest to the Women's Association of the commune this year that they buy fruit tree or flowering plant seedlings for members to plant instead of shade trees. I will discuss with the women about organizing groups to help members clear their gardens before planting new trees," said Ms. Minh.

After listening to the opinions of the representatives of the Youth Union and the Women's Association, Mr. Binh nodded and said:

- This year, our village's tree-planting campaign will be more practical and effective. Besides greening our gardens and beautifying the landscape, it will also help families earn extra income. So, let's all agree on a plan to launch a campaign this year to renovate neglected gardens in response to the Tet Tree Planting Festival!

Everyone in the meeting applauded in agreement.
