On the afternoon of February 20, delegates attending the 2025 Spring Meeting Program and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference taking place in Quang Ninh participated in planting friendship trees at Ha Long Flower Park (Bach Dang Ward, Ha Long City).
Attending the tree planting ceremony were the Party Secretaries of four Vietnamese provinces, including Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang , the Party Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, and the Vietnamese Consul General in Nanning.
Planting trees in spring has become a tradition, a beauty of the Vietnamese people. To make the friendship between Vietnam and China "forever green, forever sustainable", the delegates planted the Barringtonia acutangula tree together. In Vietnamese culture, the Barringtonia acutangula tree is a symbol of luck, success and sustainable development. With that meaning, the Barringtonia acutangula tree becomes a testament to the relationship between the four provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in particular and the two countries of Vietnam and China in general, which is continuously nurtured, sustainably developed, and at the same time becomes a milestone of friendship for future generations to always remember the affection and attachment between the people of the two countries.
The friendship tree planting program will contribute to building a green cultural and tourism space in Ha Long City and contribute to connecting and developing the increasingly united and close friendship between Vietnam - China in general and the four provinces: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
