The Politburo appointed Mr. Quan Minh Cuong as Secretary of Quang Ninh.

(Dan Tri) - On December 3, the Politburo decided to transfer Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong to hold the position of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

On December 3, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's Decision on personnel work, with the participation of Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced Decision No. 2568-QDNS/TW dated November 28, transferring Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, to stop holding the position in Cao Bang and hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

In his speech assigning tasks, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung requested the new Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee and Executive Committee to complete the remaining targets of the 13th National Congress Resolution; complete the socio-economic development tasks of the year; implement the Central Committee's directions and prepare well for the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2026-2031 term.

Mr. Le Minh Hung hopes that the province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity, overcome challenges to complete the goal of turning Quang Ninh into a centrally-run city, contributing to the new development stage of the whole country.

Accepting the task, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong said he will build a spirit of frankness, transparency, and responsibility in working; determined to carry out the task and ready to take responsibility when the results are not good.

He emphasized that he will preserve the tradition of "discipline and unity" and promote open cooperation to develop Quang Ninh strongly and sustainably, becoming a destination for domestic and foreign investors, aiming to become a centrally-run city before 2030.

Mr. Quan Minh Cuong was born in 1969 in Hung Yen, has a high political level, a Doctor of Law, a Bachelor of Police; has held positions at the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee.
