On December 3, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, attended and directed the conference.

At the conference, the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's Decision to transfer Mr. Quan Minh Cuong to stop participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and to stop holding the position of Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transfer and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and to appoint him to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 3.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that this is an important milestone and a great honor in his work and also a great responsibility before the Party Central Committee, the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province.

The new Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee pledged to make continuous efforts, quickly grasp the situation, constantly learn, be dedicated, uphold principles, and work with the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee and the entire political system in the province to consolidate the great unity and solidarity bloc, successfully organize the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, build Quang Ninh into a rich, civilized, modern and happy city directly under the Central Government before 2030; worthy of the trust and support of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Ninh.

Sharing some strategic orientations for the coming time, Mr. Quan Minh Cuong said that he will firmly pursue the goal of developing Quang Ninh into a comprehensive growth pole of the northern region, but developing in a greener, more sustainable and more in-depth direction associated with effectively implementing 3 strategic breakthroughs.

"Quang Ninh will continue to be a model of innovation - but focused innovation, taking science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation as the main driving force for development. Focus on developing: Digital economy, circular economy, heritage economy, logistics, high-quality tourism, industries that create new value, new technology; developing a synchronous, modern, and multi-modal infrastructure system," Mr. Cuong emphasized.

In his speech, the new Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee especially valued the human factor. According to him, the development of Quang Ninh cannot rely solely on natural resources or infrastructure, but must rely on a team of capable, honest, and responsible cadres; and rely on the consensus and unanimity of the people. A strong political system, close to the people and for the people, is the condition for all strategies to be effectively implemented.

Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong hopes to build a "frank - transparent - responsible" working spirit: When discussing work, be clear; when implementing, be determined and resolute; when the results are not good, courageously take responsibility to do it better.
