From around late October to early December is considered the most beautiful time of the year in the border region of Binh Lieu, when the hillsides turn into a "white sea" of reed grass that captivates tourists.

The soft reeds, taller than a person's head, sway in the wind, creating a scene like a movie.

The number of visitors increases sharply during the reed grass season, so local authorities also arrange additional signs, resting places and support forces to ensure the safety of visitors.

The entire border patrol route 342, markers 1300, 1302, 1305... are covered in a white, fluffy coat of blooming reeds.

Unlike other famous tourist destinations in Quang Ninh such as Ha Long, Yen Tu or Co To, the border area of Binh Lieu retains its pristine, quiet beauty.

Reed grass season is not only the season of beautiful scenery, but also the season for people to find peace, to breathe in the scent of the border wind and to feel small in the midst of vast nature.

Binh Lieu is known as "landmark paradise" with border patrol routes that have both majestic and poetic scenery.

Every year the grass is different, but this year the grass is taller and thicker, creating a pleasing sight.

From above, the mountain ranges stretch out like waves, and the reeds spread like sea foam covering the hillsides.

Despite the beautiful scenery, the Binh Lieu border route is not for those who are afraid of exercise.

To reach the 1305 or 1302 milestone, visitors must conquer hundreds of steps and steep slopes with strong winds. However, it is this challenge that makes the moment standing in the middle of the “sea of reeds in the clouds” more complete.

The reed grass blooms in unison, blooming white, which is also the time when Binh Lieu welcomes the first cool breezes of the year. When first blooming, the reed grass flowers are pure white, after a while they turn yellow and fall off in the wind.
