Kia Seltos 2026 adds hybrid version, price around 374 million VND?

Despite being carefully camouflaged, the 2026 Kia Seltos prototype still reveals some new details. The car is equipped with LED daytime running lights with a shape quite similar to the modern design style being applied on many recent Kia models, especially the Sportage.

This could be a signal that Kia is aiming to unify the design language across the entire product range, while enhancing the image of Seltos - an SUV that has been very successful in many Asian markets, including Vietnam.

One of the biggest highlights of the new generation Seltos is the addition of a hybrid option. This configuration is expected to be a combination of a 1.6L gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total capacity of about 141 horsepower, similar to the current Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro Hybrid models.

In addition to the hybrid option, the 2026 Kia Seltos is expected to retain its 1.4L to 1.6L petrol engine options, with outputs ranging from 113 to 158 horsepower. Meanwhile, the diesel variant is likely to be dropped in line with Hyundai-Kia's general trend of phasing out this engine line.

In addition, the electronic all-wheel drive system (E-AWD) is also expected to appear on some high-end versions, helping to enhance the performance and flexibility of the B-class SUV.

According to the plan, the new generation Kia Seltos will be officially launched in January 2026. The hybrid version will have to wait until around August of the same year to start production, which means it will be launched on the market at the end of the year. Regarding the selling price, the Kia Seltos 2026 is expected to increase slightly compared to the current generation but still maintain an accessible level.

Specifically, the main hybrid version may have a starting price of about 20 million won (equivalent to 374.7 million VND). However, if it comes to the Vietnamese market, this price will certainly be significantly higher due to tax factors and import costs. Currently, Kia Seltos is being officially distributed in Vietnam with prices starting at 599 million VND.
