IT and AI – inevitable trends
The seminar with the theme: "Application of information technology and artificial intelligence in the activities of the State Audit Office and agencies of the National Assembly - Identifying opportunities and actions of union members and youth in the digital age" was held, in the context that agencies are promoting digital transformation and application of science and technology in many fields.
In the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, information technology (IT) and artificial intelligence (AI) have become inevitable trends. In recent times, the Party Committee and leaders of the State Audit have always focused on promoting the application of IT in auditing activities.
According to the Strategy for developing the overall IT architecture of the State Audit Office for the period 2019-2025, with a vision to 2030 and the Strategy for developing the State Audit Office to 2030, the State Audit Office focuses on developing AI applications to support the identification and selection of audited entities, serving the preparation of annual audit plans; applying AI in analyzing, evaluating, synthesizing audit findings and recommendations; building AI models to support the assessment and quality control of audit activities.
Notably, the State Audit Office has piloted the application of AI in the thematic audit on investment, application of IT software and IT service outsourcing activities for digital transformation in a number of localities.
Initial results are very positive, as AI helps auditors analyze data and select samples more effectively; automatically update legal regulations; compare and contrast data on a large scale to draw objective and comprehensive conclusions.
This is the premise for the State Audit to gradually build a digital audit ecosystem, converting from traditional sampling methods to 100% data auditing.
Youth – the pioneer force leading digital transformation

"The young generation is not only a technology user, but must be the force leading the digital transformation process of the State Audit Office and the National Assembly. Each person needs to turn technological knowledge into concrete actions, from small initiatives to process improvement solutions, contributing to building a modern, professional State Audit Office, approaching international standards," said the Deputy Auditor General.

According to Mr. Phuong, each member needs to promote the achieved results, continue to research and master AI tools, boldly propose new solutions to improve work efficiency and effectiveness, while ensuring data safety and security.
