According to the representative of Huong Son Commune People's Committee, in order to join hands to help people in Thai Nguyen province who are suffering from serious floods, the local government has directed the Huong Pagoda Tourism Service Cooperative to send boat drivers, canoes and many vehicles to Thai Nguyen to support local authorities in providing relief to people in areas that are isolated and deeply flooded by floodwaters. Currently, there are 15 motorboats, each with 2 boat drivers, on their way to Thai Nguyen province.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Deputy Director of the Huong Pagoda Tourism Service Cooperative, said that along with the above motorboats, about 100 rowing boats and professional rowers of Huong Son commune are ready to go to help, rescue, evacuate people and supply goods in areas deeply flooded by heavy rains and floods in some northern provinces.
Along with that, Huong Son commune also supports life jackets, drinking water and essential necessities to help people in flooded areas overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives. In the coming time, Huong Pagoda Tourism Service Cooperative will develop a plan and submit it to the People's Committee of Huong Son commune to establish a rescue team to be ready to rescue people and support localities in urgent situations when affected by floods.
Previously, in September 2024, due to the impact of typhoon Yagi, which caused flooding in many mountainous areas in the North, people of Huong Son commune brought motorboats and boats to rescue affected areas and support functional forces in some mountainous provinces in the North.
