| People are proactively implementing measures to prevent and combat hunger, cold, and disease among their livestock. |
Currently, the total livestock and poultry population in the province is developing stably, with approximately 136,000 buffaloes and cattle; 880,000 pigs and over 20 million poultry, meeting the needs of production and consumption, especially during the Lunar New Year. However, the complex weather patterns and sharp drop in temperature increase the risk of hunger, cold, and disease outbreaks, particularly for large livestock, young animals, and small-scale farmers.
Through inspections, specialized agencies have promptly guided and urged localities and livestock farmers to strictly implement technical measures, avoiding complacency in the face of severe cold weather, contributing to protecting livestock and minimizing losses during the 2015-2026 Winter-Spring crop season.
