The Vietnam Women's Union delegation led by Vice President Tran Lan Phuong recently had a working program with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union to inspect and supervise the activities of receiving entrusted loans and supporting the enhancement of women's economic empowerment in the province.
At the meeting, representatives of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union reported on the results of loan entrustment activities, coordination activities with banks and support to enhance the economic empowerment of women in the province.
Attending the working program were Ms. Tran Lan Phuong - Vice President of Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Le Huu Hoang - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - and representatives of departments, branches and sectors of Khanh Hoa province.

Policy credit capital management activities are implemented in 135/136 communes. Regarding the quality of credit activities, as of September 30, 2024, the total outstanding loan balance of the entrusted source managed by the Women's Union at all levels of Khanh Hoa province was 2,131 billion VND (an increase of 119,548 billion VND compared to 2023, reaching a rate of 5.94%, lower than that of other organizations in the province, nationwide with 7.18% and lower than that of 2023 with 19.47%, accounting for 47.15% compared to the Associations - Organizations receiving the authorization (higher in the region with 27.84% and nationwide with 38%) ranked 9th out of 14 provinces in the region, 22nd nationwide; there were 54,842 households borrowing through 1,191 groups; overdue debt accounted for 0.19% (3rd highest out of 14 provinces in the region and 12th nationwide). Debt freezing rate: 0.24%/total Outstanding debt, specifically debt settlement is 5,183 billion VND/595 borrowers, interest collection rate is 94.6%.
Regarding savings activities at the Savings and Loan Group, as of September 30, 2024, the savings balance was 133,883 million VND/2,131,171 million VND of outstanding loans (accounting for 5.94%), the rate of borrowers regularly saving reached 83.4%, with an average savings level of 2.46 million VND/borrower (lower than the national average of 2.77 million VND/borrower and the regional average of 3.4 million VND/borrower).
The Associations at all levels closely coordinate with the Bank for Social Policies in reviewing, appraising, and disbursing loans to borrowers; classifying and handling cases of delayed debts, overdue debts, borrowers leaving their place of residence, and guiding borrowers to prepare documents to request handling of risky debts according to regulations... Maintaining good information, reporting, and regular meeting schedules, meeting schedules with the bank on the correct transaction date at the commune.

The associations at all levels have also implemented well the projects "Supporting women to start a business in the period of 2017 - 2025", "Green transformation in Khanh Hoa province in the period of 2024 - 2030", "Solving labor and employment in Khanh Hoa province in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030 in the province"... In addition, supporting women to participate in collective economy and cooperatives; coordinating vocational training for 19,373 female workers; 22,513 members and women were introduced to work in companies and enterprises; 17,788 female workers have vocational certificates. The associations at all levels have helped 3,426 households escape poverty; presented 1,015 means of livelihood to women members in difficult circumstances, with disabilities, and policy families; built and handed over 11 houses, repaired 26 "Shelters of Love" houses; 33,262 gifts were given to disadvantaged women and children...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Women's Union to synthesize the opinions and contributions of the working delegation and departments, branches and sectors. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, all levels of the union continue to improve the quality of management and use of capital sources, limit overdue debts and bad debts. Along with that, implementing solutions to support the enhancement of women's economic power in conjunction with programs and projects of the Central and the province; contributing to enhancing the role and position of women in society.
Appreciating the efforts of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union in recent times in implementing the activity of receiving entrusted loans from banks, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong requested the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union to coordinate with banks and units to organize training andeducation on comprehensive finance for female cadres and members; to carry out well the work of archiving records, updating inspection software... to improve the activity of receiving entrusted loans and support the enhancement of economic power for members and women.
