On April 6th, representatives from the Department of Economy , Infrastructure and Urban Development of Kinh Mon town (Hai Duong province) announced that the locality is carrying out environmental remediation and reinforcement of the Phung Khac canal (section from provincial road 389 to the Mieu Nha pumping station area), Quang Thanh commune, with a length of 530.6 meters.
Specifically, the project involves dredging mud; constructing retaining walls and reinforcing both banks of the canal with reinforced concrete; designing a system to collect wastewater from residential areas into a centralized system before discharging it into the canal; and building walking paths and planting trees to create a pleasant landscape…
As of April 6th, the construction unit had driven 50 meters of sheet piles to prepare for pouring the foundation of the retaining wall. The project is expected to be completed before June 30th.
The project, funded with 10 billion VND from the town's budget, aims to restore the irrigation function of the canal, serving agricultural production, and simultaneously draining water for residential areas, contributing to environmental improvement.
Previously, the irrigation corridor of the Phung Khac canal in Quang Thanh commune (Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong province) was encroached upon by dozens of households who built bridges, houses, and shacks, causing blockages in the water flow.
The project is being constructed by the following units: Joint venture of Dai Thanh Construction and Trading JSC - Dai Duong 79 Construction and Trading Investment Co., Ltd.; Hai Duong - AZ Joint venture; Long Xuyen HD Construction JSC; Hai Duong Planning and Construction Design Consulting JSC.
