Phuc Tho district's economy maintains stable growth

With the spirit of proactiveness, closeness, determination, creativity, and determination to complete the goals and tasks right from the first day and month of 2024, the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district has directed the departments, branches, and sectors of the district and communes and towns to synchronously implement the resolutions and conclusions of Hanoi City, the District Party Committee - District People's Council.

The programs and work plans of the District People's Committee are promptly deployed to departments, agencies, branches and communes and towns. In particular, focusing on 8 key groups of solutions to effectively implement 22 socio-economic development targets.

Head of the Economic Department of Phuc Tho District Can Van Hong said that thanks to the drastic participation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the district's economy in the past 6 months of 2024 continued to maintain stability, with good growth. The total production value in the district in the past 6 months is estimated at 9,108 billion VND, an increase of 10.1% over the same period in 2023.

Notably, the production value in all major economic sectors grew positively. Specifically, compared to the same period in 2023, the agriculture - fishery sector reached VND 1,545 billion, up 4%; the industry - construction sector reached VND 4,581 billion, up 12.6%; the service sector reached VND 2,982 billion, up 9.9%.

The district’s economic structure continues to shift positively. The proportion of the agricultural sector is gradually decreasing, currently accounting for only 17%. The remaining two sectors, industry - construction and services, maintain impressive growth, accounting for 50.3% and 32.7% respectively, and play an increasingly important role in the economic structure of Phuc Tho district.

Vong Xuyen Commune has been recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural standards.

Synchronously deploy solutions

According to the assessment of the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district, 2024 is a year of special importance for the goal of completing the common targets and tasks of the District Party Congress for the term 2020 - 2025. Therefore, from the beginning of the year, the People's Committee of the district has closely followed the local situation to proactively select key tasks and synchronously implement solutions to achieve the planned goals.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Tho District Kieu Trong Sy said that from now until the end of 2024, the district will continue to maximize investment capital sources from Hanoi City to promote socio-economic development. In particular, focusing on accelerating the planning of the district and communes and towns. Resolutely directing investment preparation work; site clearance, land auction; construction of traffic infrastructure; development of industrial clusters.

The district will also maintain the development and replication of agricultural economic transformation models towards concentration and sustainable economic efficiency. Resolutely implement the Agricultural Restructuring Project. Encourage the leasing and lending of agricultural land, invite organizations and individuals to lease land and invest in production development.

Implement integrated agricultural and rural development programs with expanding and improving the efficiency of cooperative economic activities; promote trade, introduce products and services to the outside. Maintain, consolidate and develop traditional occupations and craft villages. At the same time, focus on reviewing and perfecting the criteria for model new rural areas in Hat Mon commune. Prioritize project implementation to complete advanced new rural areas in Phung Thuong and Tam Hiep communes.

 

In 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned Phuc Tho district to implement 18 socio-economic development targets. Based on the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the local requirements and tasks, the Resolution of the District People's Council assigned 22 targets, an increase of 4 targets compared to the City's assignment. As a result, the district has achieved and exceeded 7 basic targets; 7 targets have not been achieved and 8 targets have not yet been evaluated.
