Vietnam's economy - one of the 32 largest economies in the world

After 50 years of liberating the South and unifying the country, from a poor, backward, low-level economy, besieged and embargoed, Vietnam has become one of the 32 largest economies in the world, with an economic scale increasing nearly 100 times compared to 1986, and per capita income increasing from less than 100 USD in 1975 to nearly 5,000 USD in 2024.

Vietnam is among the 20 countries with the largest trade scale in the world; among the 20 economies attracting the most foreign investment in the world from 2019 to present, and is one of the 10 countries with the largest amount of remittances in the world.
