Timely rescue of people jumping into Van Uc river at night

While patrolling and controlling the Van Uc River, through An Hung Commune, a working group from Waterway Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department (Hai Phong City Police) promptly saved the life of a 31-year-old man who jumped into the river.

At 0:20 on August 31, while patrolling and controlling the Van Uc River (through Tan Thang village, An Hung commune, Hai Phong city), the working group of Waterway Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department (Hai Phong City Police) discovered someone jumping into the river.

At that moment, the working group led by Major Nguyen Tuan Viet, Team Leader, along with Major Nguyen Khac Trong and Major Tran Hai Ha, team members, quickly drove a motorboat to the scene and discovered the victim struggling in the water. The working group promptly rescued the victim and brought him to the first aid unit.

The victim was identified as Tran Van T., born in 1994, from Tan Thang village, An Hung commune, Hai Phong city. After initial first aid, T.'s health and mental state were stable, he was conscious and responsive. T. and all of his belongings were handed over to his family for continued care and monitoring.

According to the victim's family, after returning from the party, due to a family conflict, Mr. T. left home and went to the riverbank. Thinking of something stupid, he jumped into the river.

Touched by the timely and brave action of the working group that saved his son-in-law's life, Mr. T.'s father-in-law, Mr. Nguyen Van T., wrote a letter of thanks to the Waterway Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department (Hai Phong City Police).
