Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team Founding Day

On May 26, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union - Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneer Council organized a program to celebrate the founding day of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team and the military activity "I am a soldier of Dien Bien, Uncle Ho's City".

This is an activity within a series of training and emulation activities to celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team (May 15, 1941 - May 15, 2024), the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), and the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024).

Speaking at the Program, Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, acknowledged the unceasing efforts of the city's children in recent times. Continuing the glorious tradition of previous generations, the children's classes of the City named after Uncle Ho are always enthusiastic, competitive and increasingly have many outstanding examples, in which many children delegates have been honored in various fields.

During the past school year, from the launch of the City Youth Union, each child has transformed into the young Dien Bien soldiers of the past, creating an atmosphere to strive to practice morality and health; strive in studying, creativity, digital transformation; overcome difficulties, compete to follow the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho in the new situation and have achieved good results, achievements in many fields to offer to beloved Uncle Ho, to grandparents, parents, teachers and to further enrich their knowledge and skills, worthy of the affection and care of their families and schools for them. These results of the children have contributed to the emulation results of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, and are part of the results of building the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space that the City has been focusing on building for many years.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union and the City Young Pioneer Council should pay attention to reviewing and improving the quality of Young Pioneer activities to suit the new situation, pay attention to promoting Young Pioneer activities in non-public schools, in residential areas, in difficult areas, with a large concentration of children of workers and migrant workers... Provide good advice on training, fostering, and reserve cadres for Young Pioneer work, ensure continuity, and supervise the implementation of the Law on Children and regulations of the Party and State on the protection, care, andeducation of children; proactively propose policies and support for children to develop comprehensively; especially continue to advise and propose regimes and policies for the Young Pioneer general in charge in the new situation...

Commendation of 74 outstanding Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union leaders in 2024.

Departments, organizations, and localities continue to promote the care, education, and protection of children according to their functions and duties, especially protecting children from acts of violence, child abuse, as well as harmful risks in the online environment.

According to Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Council Trinh Thi Hien Tran, in the recent emulation campaign of the city's children, 100% of the teams, branches, and children's classes organized team, branch, and children's class activities with the theme "Following the footsteps of heroes", more than 66,000 teams organized activities to watch documentaries about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

Cap Thanh produced more than 100 propaganda products, posted daily during 56 peak competition days, attracting 116,680 interactions and 279,500 reach on social networking platforms.

At the program, the organizing committee honored 3 winners of the 2024 National Kim Dong Award; honored 74 outstanding team leaders in the city in 2024 and honored 70 outstanding battalions in the campaign "I am a soldier of Dien Bien, Uncle Ho City"./.
