Khanh Hoa and India are aiming to enhance tourism development.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, also stated that after the completion of the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway, creating a chain of five interconnected expressways linking Ho Chi Minh City with Nha Trang, travel time will be shortened to only 4-5 hours, half the time it would take to travel via National Highway 1 as before.
This will help increase the number of tourists from southern provinces and cities to Nha Trang.
In addition, the road, rail, waterway, and Cam Ranh airport systems will make it very convenient for Indian tourists from other provinces and cities to visit Khanh Hoa, even though there are no direct flights from India to Khanh Hoa.
The Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway facilitates travel for tourists from the South to Khanh Hoa.
According to statistics from Khanh Hoa's tourism industry, in the first eight months of 2024, the total number of tourists served by accommodation establishments is estimated at over 8 million, an increase of 61% compared to the same period in 2023 (reaching nearly 89% of the plan).
Of these, international visitors are estimated to reach over 3 million, 2.6 times higher than the same period last year (exceeding the plan by nearly 7%); domestic visitors are estimated to reach nearly 5 million, an increase of over 29% compared to the same period last year (reaching 80% of the plan).
