Expected to open direct flight route to Khanh Hoa soon

Accordingly, representatives of airlines presented the idea of promoting the opening of a direct flight connecting Khanh Hoa - India.

This flight route facilitates travel for citizens of both countries and serves as a bridge connecting tourism businesses in the province with Indian tourism businesses and experts.

According to Mr. Tushar Garg, Deputy Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the conference is an important part of the Vietnam Namaste Festival 2024, a cultural event to strengthen the relationship between India and Vietnam.

Including the tourism conference in the festival demonstrates our commitment to promoting tourism cooperation between the two countries, especially between India and the beautiful province of Khanh Hoa.

Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this is a very meaningful activity, contributing to enhancing understanding and cooperation between Khanh Hoa province and India.

This is an opportunity to introduce tourism images between the two sides, at the same time, creating a space for leaders and tourism businesses to directly exchange information about the current status of tourism development between Khanh Hoa province and India.

Khanh Hoa and India are aiming to boost tourism development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, also said that after completing the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway, a series of 5 continuous expressways connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Nha Trang will be created, shortening travel time to only 4 - 5 hours, half the time if traveling along National Highway 1 as before.

This will help increase the number of tourists from southern provinces and cities to Nha Trang.

Along with that, the road, railway, waterway and Cam Ranh airport systems will help Indian tourists from other provinces and cities to travel to Khanh Hoa very conveniently, although there is no direct flight from India to Khanh Hoa.

Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway contributes to facilitating southern tourists to Khanh Hoa.

According to statistics from Khanh Hoa Tourism Industry, in the first 8 months of 2024, the total number of visitors served by tourist accommodation establishments is estimated at more than 8 million, an increase of 61% over the same period in 2023 (reaching nearly 89% of the plan).

Of which, international visitors are estimated at more than 3 million, 2.6 times higher than the same period (exceeding nearly 7% of the plan); Domestic visitors are estimated at nearly 5 million, up more than 29% over the same period (reaching 80% of the plan).
