OCB bank counter deposit interest rate May 2025
In May 2025, Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) continued to adjust deposit interest rates down for most terms for individual customers. The current interest rate schedule is applied from April 25, fluctuating between 3.8% - 5.6%/year, interest is paid at the end of the term.
Specifically, the interest rate for the 1-month term is set at 3.8%/year, a slight decrease compared to the previous term. The 2-month term increased slightly to 3.9%/year, but still decreased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous adjustment.
For the 3-4 month term group, OCB is currently applying an interest rate of 4.0%/year, also down 0.1%. The 5-month term has an interest rate of 4.4%/year.
From 6 to 11 months, the bank reduced the interest rate to 4.9%/year, compared to the previous 5.0%. Meanwhile, the average term group from 12 to 15 months is applied at 5.0%/year, after a 0.1% reduction.
For longer term deposits such as 18, 21 and 24 months, OCB applies interest rates of 5.2%, 5.3% and 5.4%/year respectively. The reduction in this term group is 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous period.
The highest interest rate at OCB is currently 5.6%/year, applied to savings with a term of 36 months or more, which has also been adjusted down by 0.2 percentage points.

Online savings at OCB in May 2025 also have slight adjustments, with interest rates ranging from 4.2% to 5.6%/year. In general, online savings at OCB have higher interest rates than at the counter, depending on the term and deposit limit.
Online interest rates are divided into three deposit groups:
Under 100 million VND
From 100 million to under 500 million VND
Over 500 million VND
Depending on the specific limit and term, customers will be applied a more suitable interest rate by OCB, but not exceeding the ceiling prescribed by the State Bank.
