Speaking at the Forum, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh highly appreciated the proactive, creative and determined spirit of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee in organizing the Cultural- Tourism -Trade Connection Forum in 2025.
This is a concrete step, demonstrating the strategic vision and development aspirations of the locality in the new period.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that, implementing the major policy of the Party and State on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong will be merged to form a new Lam Dong province - a unified development space, converging all the strengths of eco-tourism, high-tech agriculture, marine economy, renewable energy, etc.
"This merger not only expands the administrative scale, but also creates a harmonious exchange between ecological, cultural and economic regions, forming a solid foundation for a new growth pole of the Central Highlands region," the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly pointed out.
In the country's development orientation, the Party and State have clearly identified: Culture is the spiritual foundation of society; tourism is a comprehensive economic sector with high added value; trade is the driving force to promote production-consumption and expand the market.
According to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly: This is not only the general orientation of the country, but also the compass for Lam Dong province to renew old driving forces, orient new driving forces for sustainable development, choose a breakthrough direction, suitable to the specific potential and requirements of sustainable development in the new period.

In that spirit, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Lam Dong continue to effectively exploit these three pillars with specific strategic directions: Developing cultural industry and creative economy; building Lam Dong tourism brand in the direction of green-smart-experience-identity. At the same time, modernize trade-logistics-digital platform infrastructure.
To realize the above orientations, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Lam Dong continue to promote institutional reform, improve the investment and business environment, develop digital government and online public services; and create the most favorable conditions for businesses and people.
In addition, Lam Dong needs to proactively develop a master plan for the new province after the merger, in conjunction with the development strategy for the expanded Central Highlands region. The plan must integrate cultural development space, ecological urban areas, smart tourism, green agriculture and creative industries; and strongly develop the local innovation ecosystem.
The province also needs to strengthen links with other provinces in the region, form economic-sea-highland-border tourism corridors, attract strategic investment, and develop synchronous logistics and transport infrastructure.
In particular, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that after merging and rearranging the administrative apparatus, the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees need to promote a sense of responsibility, solidarity and dedication for the common development of the province, not allowing localism or division of local interests to arise.

Lam Dong is determined not to develop alone, but to place itself in a strategy of regional linkage-international cooperation-innovation of growth model.
Following the strategic direction of the Central Government, Lam Dong province is actively implementing major conclusions and resolutions on reorganizing administrative units, building two-level local governments and restructuring development space. In particular, the study of merging the three provinces of Lam Dong-Binh Thuan-Dak Nong will open up a new development horizon for this land.
“Today’s forum is an important opportunity for Lam Dong to listen to the enthusiastic contributions, policy recommendations, and practical models from delegates, investors, and experts. From there, we can build a new Lam Dong development strategy that truly has a long-term vision, is in line with international trends, and is linked to the needs and internal strengths of the locality,” Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized.
The Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee also said that the province is committed to always accompanying the business community, promoting the role of science and technology, digital transformation, innovation; strongly reforming administration, improving efficiency in serving people and businesses; expanding foreign relations, regional connectivity, developing a green, creative and comprehensive ecosystem.
Within the framework of the Forum, a roundtable discussion was also held with the theme "Promoting cultural-tourism-trade investment in Lam Dong province - Potential, challenges and solutions".
Through a series of activities including in-depth discussions, signing strategic cooperation agreements, networking and displaying typical products, the Forum is an open space for parties to share visions, work together to create and together with Lam Dong reach a future of sustainable development, integration and differentiation.
