Construction of three houses of the three most severely damaged households in Hoa Lac village, Quang Lap commune officially kicked off the "Quang Trung Campaign" in Lam Dong.

On the evening of December 2, at Hoa Lac village, Quang Lap commune, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of "Quang Trung Campaign" to build houses for households that collapsed or were completely destroyed by natural disasters in the province.

Accordingly, the first 3 households supported to build houses in the “Quang Trung Campaign” include: Nguyen Van Minh, Ho Tan Thanh and Kieu Dang Khoa. During the recent flood, the above families had their houses collapsed, their property and crops damaged and they currently have no stable place to live.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, affirmed that "Quang Trung Campaign" is a major campaign with profound humanistic significance launched by the Prime Minister and responded to by the Ministry of Public Security.

“Operation Quang Trung” was deployed by the Ministry of Public Security with the requirement of urgency, creativity and efficiency. The goal is not only to rebuild new roofs, but also to rebuild trust, peace and hope for the people.

The spirit of "speed, determination, putting the people's interests first" has been clearly demonstrated by units in Lam Dong Provincial Police, determined to complete new houses for households in the shortest time.

“Each house is not only a meaningful gift but also the responsibility of the police force towards the people, helping people feel secure and soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters,” Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen shared.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that these are the first houses in the province to be built after the historic flood that occurred on November 19. Although facing huge losses and damages, people must strive to gradually stabilize their lives.

However, Lam Dong is determined to have new houses for people whose houses collapsed before January 15, 2026 and to complete repairs for families whose houses were damaged before December 20, 2025,” emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, and armed forces to accompany the people throughout the construction process. The families strongly supported the province's policy. The commune government and neighbors joined in to share with the families who suffered losses.

All are determined to complete the “Quang Trung Campaign” as soon as possible in the four provinces of the South Central region. The provincial leaders sincerely sympathize with the people and hope that people will support and accompany the forces to quickly have new houses and gradually stabilize their lives after the storm and flood,” emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi.

In the recent flood, 229 houses in Lam Dong province were damaged. Of these, 23 houses were completely collapsed and needed to be rebuilt, while 206 houses were damaged and needed to be repaired.

Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters in the Central provinces, Lam Dong agreed to support 120 million VND/house completely collapsed; from 20 - 40 million VND/house damaged.
