Lam Dong promotes the development of science and technology market

DNVN - Lam Dong province is promoting the completion of policies for developing the science and technology market, considering this one of the key tasks. The goal is to create a favorable legal environment for transactions, transfers, and commercialization of scientific research results, technology development, and innovative startups.

The science and technology market is gradually taking shape.

The Southeast region of Lam Dong province is considered a typical example of the initial development of the science and technology market with 4 science and technology enterprises including Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Company Limited, Viet Nhat Technology Company, Phuc Ha Juice Company Limited and Eden Hub Agricultural Technology Joint Stock Company, along with 29 long-standing science and technology organizations. These enterprises are actively implementing research, development and innovation activities.

Science and technology enterprises have had more than 870 research, manufacturing and innovation projects formed. On average, each enterprise has about 4 creative solutions, initially creating many valuable products with high application efficiency, commercialized, contributing to solving local economic and social needs and increasing labor productivity.

Regarding technology transfer activities, organizations and enterprises in the Southeast of Lam Dong province have received about 900 technologies (an average of 4 technologies/enterprise). Of these, about 400 technologies were transferred from abroad, accounting for 44.4%. On the other hand, enterprises in the Southeast region of the province have also transferred nearly 10 technologies to enterprises inside and outside the province, in many fields such as materials engineering, mechanics, manufacturing, food processing, beverages, environment, livestock, cultivation, aquaculture. These enterprises tend to receive more domestic technology transfers because the cost is lower and suitable for the capacity of small, medium and micro enterprises.

Solutions to promote the science and technology market

Lam Dong province has had many policies to create competitive motivation, promote enterprises to participate in the science and technology market, and promote cooperation between institutes, schools and enterprises. In addition, the policy of commercialization, quickly bringing research results and intellectual property into production and business is also prioritized.

According to Lam Dong newspaper, to achieve this goal, the Department of Science and Technology and relevant agencies are implementing many specific solutions such as:

- Investigate and evaluate technology needs, absorption capacity and technology mastery of enterprises.

- Building a database on technology demand and analyzing technology needs of some key export industries.

- Encourage businesses to invest in research and development and support the establishment of scientific and technological organizations, improving businesses' technology absorption capacity.

- Promote cooperation between enterprises and institutes and schools in the direction of technology ordering or forming research projects, technology incubation, and science and technology business incubation.

- Support business innovation activities.

- Implement measures to promote technology transfer, especially high, advanced, clean technology, with priority given to a number of key industrial sectors and industries of the province.

- Organize events to promote science and technology market, promote science and technology market and innovation, integrated with trade and investment promotion events both online and in person to support the introduction and promotion of new technologies of businesses, organizations and individuals.

In addition, for the science and technology market in the whole province to develop synchronously, effectively, modernly and integratedly, Lam Dong also needs more support from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
