Lam Dong province welcomed 650,000 tourists during the New Year holiday.

According to data from the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the 2026 New Year's holiday will last for four consecutive days (January 1-4), creating favorable conditions for locals and tourists to organize short trips.

During this period, tourism activities in Lam Dong province are vibrant, with a significant increase in visitor numbers compared to normal days.

The total number of tourists visiting and staying in Lam Dong province during the 2026 New Year holiday is estimated at approximately 650,000; of which, international tourists are estimated at around 30,000. Revenue from tourism activities is estimated at approximately 1,200 billion VND.

The peak period for tourist accommodation was from January 1st to 3rd. The average room occupancy rate at tourist accommodations in the province reached approximately 70-80%; specifically, 3- to 5-star establishments achieved occupancy rates of 85-90%.

Previously, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism had implemented a plan to organize the New Year's Eve 2026 program in three areas across the province, including: Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat; the Provincial Exhibition and Arts Theater, Phan Thiet Ward; and the Nam Gia Nghia Ward Stadium.

To ensure the best possible conditions for serving tourists during the 2026 New Year and the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has instructed the People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones, and tourism management and business units to strengthen preparations for welcoming and serving tourists.

At the same time, focus on ensuring security and order, traffic safety, environmental hygiene, and food safety; strictly enforce the declaration, posting, and sale of goods at the posted prices; and publicly display a hotline number to promptly receive, handle, and assist tourists in case of any unusual situations.
