The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested relevant agencies and units to mobilize contractors, machinery, specialized vehicles, coordinate with functional forces and local authorities to speed up construction progress, and urgently open Mimosa Pass in the context that Prenn Pass is still temporarily closed.

On November 20, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province Ho Van Muoi went to the scene of a serious landslide on Mimosa pass, Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat, to inspect and direct the remedial work.

At the scene, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to concentrate maximum forces and means, immediately deploy solutions to quickly clear the route, ensuring traffic safety.

He requested that the construction must strictly follow technical procedures, prioritize safety, and develop a comprehensive plan to completely handle the landslide and limit recurrence. The Road Maintenance Board mobilized contractors, machinery, specialized vehicles, and closely coordinated with functional forces and local authorities to speed up the construction progress and urgently open the Mimosa Pass while the Prenn Pass is still temporarily closed.

As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, on the evening of November 19, a serious landslide occurred on Mimosa Pass, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat. The entire road surface was broken, about 50m wide, about 30m deep, and the length of the slide was about 100m.

After receiving the information, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police of Lam Dong Province mobilized forces and specialized vehicles to quickly approach the scene, coordinating with local authorities to organize rescue operations throughout the night.

Authorities are on duty 24/7, closely monitoring geological developments and ready to respond if new dangers arise.

On the morning of November 20, authorities of Lam Dong province went to the landslide scene to assess the situation and discuss solutions.

Currently, vehicles entering and exiting the Da Lat area cannot travel on this pass and are instructed to transfer to Sacom Pass and Ta Nung Pass on DT725 Road.

In another development, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province announced that from 2:00 p.m. on November 20 to 12:00 a.m. on November 23, Lam Dong province will temporarily ban trucks with a load capacity of more than 3.5 tons from traveling through Ta Nung Pass - DT 725, Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat, to prevent landslides.

Due to the impact of heavy rains that lasted for many days, from November 16 to 19, the gateway roads to Da Lat were seriously damaged and eroded. Up to now, vehicles have been banned from traveling through D'Ran Pass, Mimosa (Highway 20) and Prenn Pass.
