In Thanh Hung commune, the resolution is not just a written statement. From cooperatives to the fields, new methods are helping farmers increase productivity, reduce costs, and raise incomes.

Resolution on going to the fields

One afternoon in the fields of Thanh Phong hamlet, Mr. Nguyen Van Kich - Director of the 339 Agricultural Cooperative - and the farmers were busy harvesting rice. Mr. Kich said that in the past, people mainly produced based on experience, each doing their own thing, resulting in high costs and unstable yields. Since joining the cooperative and being encouraged to specialize in high-quality rice cultivation and apply science and technology, the people have gradually changed their mindset.

Currently, the cooperative has over 50 members, cultivating 124 hectares. Production processes are organized synchronously, from land preparation and sowing to spraying pesticides and harvesting, all using modern machinery. Mr. Kich's family cultivates 5 hectares, applying drone spraying, an automatic water pumping system, and combine harvesters for harvesting. The yield for the 2025-2026 winter-spring crop is expected to reach over 9 tons/ha. The contracted purchase price from traders is 6,100 VND/kg. Mr. Vo Quang Sang, who cultivates 3 hectares of Dai Thom 8 rice, said: “After joining the cooperative, my average profit has reached 30-40 million VND/ha, significantly higher than before.”

For the upcoming summer-autumn crop season, the 339 Agricultural Cooperative will simultaneously plant the DS1 variety (Japanese rice) across its entire area, continuing to apply advanced farming techniques to reduce costs and improve productivity and quality. “We strive to maintain stable yields, ensure market access, and gradually improve efficiency per hectare so that people can produce with peace of mind. From the practical results, people understand that following the Party's direction is not just about 'following a trend,' but about improving income and stabilizing their lives,” Mr. Kich said.

Do things differently to ensure a good rice harvest.

Based on the resolution of the Party Congress of Thanh Hung commune for the 2025-2030 term, the commune has identified three breakthroughs: developing high-quality rice; applying science and technology to agricultural production; and innovating leadership methods, improving the quality of cadres, promoting digital transformation, and reforming administration; focusing on investing in and upgrading transportation infrastructure to serve production and daily life. Among these, developing high-quality rice is chosen as the central breakthrough, directly increasing people's income.

Alongside concrete actions, the Party Committee of the commune has reformed its methods of disseminating resolutions in a way that is more accessible and relatable. All 37 Party branches have implemented the electronic Party member handbook application. 90.4% of Party members have successfully installed and logged into the electronic Party member handbook application. This has enabled Party branches to study directives, resolutions, programs, and plans from higher and lower levels more promptly.

Furthermore, the commune Party Committee also directed the implementation of the resolution through QR code scanning to facilitate research and study for Party members, officials, civil servants, Youth Union members, association members, and the general public. In the second quarter of 2026, the commune Party Committee directed the Party Building Committee to coordinate with the Commune Youth Union to organize an online competition to learn about the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels, attracting Party members, officials, civil servants, Youth Union members, association members, and the general public to participate. Through the competition, the content of the resolution was conveyed vividly, making it easy for participants to understand and remember, thereby raising awareness and creating a ripple effect in the community.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nghia, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thanh Hung commune, said that the Party Committee has identified the renewal of methods for disseminating resolutions as an important task, ensuring that the resolutions are put into practice through concrete actions of each Party member. "The resolutions must be ingrained in the awareness and become actions of each Party member. When Party members set an example, the people will trust and follow," Mr. Nghia shared.

Thanks to this approach, the commune's agricultural production has undergone a significant transformation. Rice cultivation continues to play a leading role, covering an area of ​​over 10,000 hectares and producing over 197,000 tons per year, of which approximately 98% meets export standards. The commune has formed value chains with 3-5 businesses signing agreements to ensure stable agricultural product consumption for farmers…

Breakthroughs in Party building and administrative reform have also brought about positive changes. The quality of Party branch activities has improved, and the sense of responsibility and exemplary conduct of cadres and Party members has become increasingly evident. The application of information technology and digital transformation in management and administration has been gradually promoted, contributing to improved effectiveness and efficiency in serving the people.

The breakthrough in transportation infrastructure continues to yield positive results. Many roads have been invested in and upgraded, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and transport goods, especially serving agricultural production, contributing to changing the face of rural areas and improving people's lives. In the first quarter of 2026, the commune mobilized resources to build 4 new bridges, with a budget of over 1.2 billion VND contributed by philanthropists and the people.
