On September 25, at the Provincial Conference Center, Gia Lai province solemnly held the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress, period 2025-2030. This is a major political event, a great festival to honor typical advanced collectives and individuals, and to commend patriotic emulation movements in the whole province.

Attending and directing the congress were comrade Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee; comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee; with the presence of leaders, former leaders of the province, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Labor Heroes, Armed Forces Heroes, more than 600 delegates who are national emulation fighters, typical examples in various fields, ethnicities, and religions.

Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement in Gia Lai has developed strongly, spread widely, associated with key political tasks and major movements of the whole country such as: "The whole country joins hands to build new countryside"; "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind"; "500 days and nights of emulation to complete 3,000km of highways"... In which, Gia Lai has effectively implemented the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", contributing to improving people's lives and was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President .

Thanks to the drastic participation of the entire political system and the spirit of enthusiastic emulation, Gia Lai has achieved many outstanding results: The average economic growth rate reached nearly 7%/year; the economic structure shifted in the right direction with the proportion of industry-construction and services accounting for 78%; the budget revenue in 2025 is estimated at 27,000 billion VND, an increase of about 18% over the same period and exceeding the estimate by 12%. The poverty rate decreased to 2.24%, over 12,520 temporary and dilapidated houses were eliminated; 100% of medical stations have doctors, the health insurance coverage rate reached over 95%.

The emulation and reward work has also been innovated in terms of content and form, contributing to the discovery, training and replication of many advanced models. This Congress has commended hundreds of outstanding collectives and individuals; many of which were awarded Labor Medals of various ranks by the President, and many collectives were awarded Emulation Flags by the Prime Minister.

Moving towards a new stage, Gia Lai aims to build the province into a center of processing industry, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, tourism and high-tech industries such as semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence (AI). The patriotic emulation movement will continue to be the driving force for the whole province to promote the strength of great solidarity, promote innovation, digital transformation, and build Gia Lai to develop rapidly and sustainably.

The Congress also unanimously agreed to send a delegation of 34 outstanding individuals representing the province to attend the upcoming 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress. Gia Lai Provincial leaders awarded certificates of merit to 15 collectives and 65 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the period 2020-2025.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress left a strong impression, arousing and spreading the spirit of patriotism and the will to rise of all classes of people, creating a new impetus for the province's development path in the period of deep integration.
