These activities are not only a way to pay tribute to the older generation but also a way for the younger generation to affirm their role in preserving and promoting patriotic traditions and fostering national pride.

Positive trend

These days, on social media platforms, mainly TikTok, there are thousands of videos showcasing dance moves to the songs "Red Blood, Yellow Skin" and "Continuing the Story of Peace ," attracting millions of views and interactions.

This is no longer just an entertainment trend, but a way for young people to show their interest in and connection with the glorious history of their country. The highlight of this trend is the combination of catchy music and beautiful dance moves. From students to many young entrepreneurs and artists, everyone enthusiastically participates, performing dance moves to emotionally charged music and lyrics. People consciously invest in costumes and carefully select settings, filming techniques, editing, and special effects. This trend is not only popular domestically but is also being embraced by young people living and working abroad.

Besides sharing tips on finding ideal spots to watch the parade, many young people also invest in creating unique personal photo shoots. Ideal locations include: Ben Bach Dang Park (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) - where 15 ceremonial cannons are placed in preparation for the April 30th celebration; the Reunification Hall; the Book Street... Mr. Pham Phu Tuan (30 years old, a university lecturer) spent an entire morning capturing beautiful moments with the national flag flying in April 30th Park. According to him, taking and "showing off" photos to express remembrance of history and honor the glorious traditions of the nation is commendable.

Ms. Doan Thi Kim Ngan (residing in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) captured a special moment before the grand ceremony in a pristine white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress). Seeing the radiant young people around her, holding the national flag in their hands, the young woman was deeply moved. "These photos aren't for the purpose of showing off on social media. I believe this is a youthful and modern way for us to express our love for our homeland and country," Ngan confided.

Many young people have simultaneously changed their profile pictures and cover photos to images featuring the national flag or slogans celebrating major holidays. Posts filled with affection for their roots and appreciation for peace are flooding social media.

Phu Tuan, along with thousands of other young people, wants to spread patriotism and national pride through beautiful and memorable images.

A desire to live and contribute.

Not only are young people retelling their nation's history in their own way through digital products, but many also see this as a valuable opportunity to improve their historical knowledge. Museums are bustling with groups of young people coming to learn and visit.

A series of exhibitions showcasing rare and valuable documents related to the Great Victory of Spring 1975 have attracted the attention and participation of young people. Tang Huynh Minh Tai (a second-year student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) spent a lot of time admiring and contemplating the "Unified Nation" exhibition organized by the National Archives Center II. Not only Tai, but his friends also carefully took notes and photographed the documents they were encountering for the first time. For Tai, these valuable data sources are extremely useful for young people to gain a more comprehensive, profound, and accurate understanding of the important historical milestones of the nation. "The more we understand the sacrifices and hardships of the previous generation, the more young people will cherish freedom and peace, and learn to live beautifully and worthily of the favorable conditions we currently have," Tai shared.

Truong Nguyen Kieu Phuong, a student studying in Busan, South Korea, said: "These days I'm always following the news from home leading up to the grand celebration. Although I can't witness it firsthand or immerse myself in the joyful and vibrant atmosphere, thanks to information from newspapers and social media about the rehearsals for the parade and other diverse activities, I am deeply moved and proud." The 23-year-old happily shared impressive images of her country with her classmates: "Every time I see these wonderful moments, I love my homeland even more and gain more motivation to study. Phuong expressed: "No matter where we are, we – young people far from home – are still a part of our country, always looking towards our roots with faith and a desire to contribute to our homeland."

The diverse and creative activities of young people during this year's April 30th celebrations demonstrate that patriotism is not only preserved but also strongly disseminated, in line with the times. This is proof of the continuation of tradition and affirms the role of the younger generation in building and protecting the Fatherland.
