Spreading the "Encouraging Digital Learning" movement

On October 2, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education held a ceremony to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the Association's founding (October 2, 1996 - October 2, 2025) and Vietnam Education Promotion Day October 2. The event simultaneously launched the "Digital Education Promotion" movement, associated with promoting the implementation of "Digital Education for All", responding to the Lifelong Learning Week in 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Manh Hung, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, affirmed that after nearly three decades of development, the Association has become a widespread social organization with more than 28 million members.

Education promotion activities are increasingly spreading widely in social life, contributing to improving people's knowledge, training human resources, nurturing talents, and implementing President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching that "everyone has the right to education".

In the solemn atmosphere of the celebration, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, officially launched the "Digital Education Promotion" movement.

She emphasized: “Our country is entering a new stage of development based on the digital platform. This is a great opportunity to develop high-quality human resources, but also poses many urgent requirements. The Vietnam Association for Promoting Education launched the "Promoting Digital Learning" movement so that every citizen has the conditions to access digital knowledge, learn anytime, anywhere, contributing to building a modern, fair and sustainable learning society."

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, the “Digital Education Promotion” movement is closely linked to the goal of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training. The highlight of the movement is to build the Association for Promoting Education in the direction of a “Smart Association for Promoting Education”, equipping members and people, especially in remote areas, with basic digital skills, helping them proactively use technology, exploit digital knowledge and adapt to the changes of the new era.

The movement is also closely linked to social life, when the Association for Promotion of Learning at all levels will coordinate with the education and training sector to innovate community learning centers in the direction of digitalization, ensuring that people can study remotely through technology platforms.

At the same time, many new learning models will be developed, including “Digital Instructors” and “Working Learners”, to encourage people to learn throughout their lives, suitable to the conditions and circumstances of each family and each community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan emphasized that in the coming period, the Ministry will focus on promoting comprehensive digital transformation, from building a national database, transcripts and digital diplomas to applying advanced educational technology, to improve training quality, develop high-quality human resources and create a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

Emphasizing the determination of the entire system, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan affirmed: The "Digital Learning Promotion" movement is not only a task, but also a specific action to bring learning promotion work into harmony with the national digital transformation process, so that every Vietnamese citizen can become a digital citizen in a digital learning society.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education expressed its gratitude to the leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches, localities, business community and philanthropists who have accompanied and supported us throughout the past 29 years.

The Association affirms that it will continue to promote the nation's tradition of studiousness, innovate thinking and methods of operation, to build a modern learning society, where "learning never ends" truly becomes the driving force for national development.
