This is the affirmation of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, Editor-in-Chief of Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the program “Grateful for Birth 2025” at a press conference on September 11 in Hanoi.
The program “Gratitude for Parents” has been held annually for many years in recent years on Vu Lan occasion. This year, the program is held at a time when the whole country has many activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is also an opportunity for us to pay tribute to those who have contributed, to express our deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs. The program also contributes to educating the younger generation, sowing the seeds of filial piety, patriotism, and civic consciousness among the youth.
Also according to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, the program "Grateful for Parents 2025" is organized on a large scale, gathering famous artists such as: My Linh, Phuong Thanh, Bang Kieu, Kyo York, Vy Oanh, Viet Danh, Ngoc Lien, Mai Tuyet Hoa, Thanh Tai, Ngoc Ky, Ngoc Khanh Chi, Minh Duc, artists of the Vietnam Drama Theater, Tre Dance Group, Sao Tuoi Tho Club, ... The performances are elaborately staged, profound and rich in symbolism, from singing and dancing, poetry, drama, Xam singing... to performances combining traditional and modern music .
In particular, the program has practical activities in the journey of gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, commemorating the sacrifices of heroic martyrs, martyrs' relatives, meritorious people, and people in difficult circumstances in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Da Nang..., while mobilizing social resources to take care of meritorious people and disadvantaged people in society.
The program “Grateful for Parents 2025” took place at 8:10 p.m. on September 18 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi. The program was jointly produced by the Economic and Urban Newspaper, Vietnam Women's Newspaper, and Oscar Media Advertising Joint Stock Company (Oscar Media), broadcast live on H1 channel - Hanoi Radio & Television Station and rebroadcast live on Newspapers - Radio stations in provinces and cities nationwide.
Director Mai Thanh Tung - Author, General Director of the program shared: "The program is not only a cultural and artistic event but also a journey connecting the past and the present, between religion and life, contributing to preserving and promoting the fine traditional values of the Vietnamese people. With the message "Filial piety is the source of morality - Gratitude is the flame that preserves tradition", the program is not only a simple artistic event but also a bridge of emotions, connecting family relationships, evoking the morality of drinking water and remembering its source, living with love and keeping the filial piety. We believe that, through the language of art, human values will touch every heart, awakening in each person a deep gratitude to parents, family affection and compatriots. The gratitude for giving birth is a word of gratitude and also a continuing flame, so that together we can continue to write songs about humanity, spread gratitude and build a moral foundation for today and tomorrow".
