The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just evaluated the results of the implementation of the program of the series of activities "National Unity Day" in residential areas in the city. This is a series of activities organized to widely propagate the historical value and great significance of major holidays, foster patriotism and national pride; towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and welcome the Party Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The series of activities takes place in 4 peak periods, including:
- Phase 1: "Independence Day" Festival, Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (from August 25 to September 2, 2025).
- Phase 2: Festival "Civilized - Modern - Affectionate City", welcoming the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (term 2025 - 2030) (from September 20 to October 20, 2025).
- Phase 3: Festival "City of Love - Connecting Love", welcoming the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of the City (term 2025 - 2030) (from October 20 to October 30, 2025).
- Phase 4: National Great Unity Day with the theme "National Unity Day", Celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam National United Front - Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (from November 1 to November 20, 2025).

In the first peak period, up to now, 102 units have registered to organize 316 diverse activities, with a total estimated care value of about 6.8 billion VND.
In particular, residential areas simultaneously decorated and hung the national flag, creating a solemn and exciting atmosphere. Localities focused on taking care of households in difficult circumstances, simultaneously organizing "Great Unity Meals" in residential areas. On the Independence Day festival in residential areas, activities were organized to review traditions, culture, arts, sports and cuisine, creating a warm and cohesive atmosphere. In addition, many projects responding to the "City of Colorful Flowers" movement were inaugurated and put into use.

Typically, the Independence Day Festival was organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward with many activities such as: the flag-raising ceremony and the "Vietnam - Proudly Stepping Forward to the Future" performance, presenting the "National Flag" project and giving gifts of great solidarity to the people of Ward 1 with a total value of 20 million VND, the "3-region Cuisine" cooking contest, the "Solidarity for Binh Thanh" flower arrangement contest. Responding to the "City of Colorful Flowers" movement, residential areas in the ward launched 3 meaningful projects, including "Flags Flying Brightly - Flowers Blooming with Love" at Alley 58/22 Phan Chu Trinh, "Richmond City Brilliant with the National Flag" and "Solidarity Flower Garden - Spreading Love" with a total implementation cost of 106 million VND.
Or in Dong Thanh commune, the "Independence Day - Warmth of Love" festival took place with folk dance performances, zero-dong booths, presenting Nguyen Thi Minh Khai scholarships, Luong Dinh Cua scholarships and 50 bicycles to children, along with 100 gifts to people in difficult circumstances, with a total cost of more than 203 million VND. On this occasion, residential areas in the commune also launched two routes: "National Flag Road" and "Civilized - Clean - Safe" route.
