If you have visited all the familiar check-in spots in the bustling capital Kuala Lumpur, come to Bukit Tinggi - a peaceful small town located in Bentong district, Pahang state, Malaysia, nearly 55 km from the center of Kuala Lumpur.

From the center of Kuala Lumpur, if you rent a car to drive yourself, you just need to go straight along the Karak highway to get there. After the highway, the road leading to Bukit Tinggi winds around the mountainside with dense trees on both sides, similar to the journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat or from Hanoi to Tam Dao.

Bukit Tinggi is like a miniature France thanks to being covered by ancient, beautiful architectural works with bold French style.

One of the popular check-in spots here is the "French village" Colmar Tropicale at Berjaya Hills Resort. Colmar Tropicale is located on a hill at an altitude of 790m above sea level, so the air is cool all year round.

The most impressive point of the buildings built in imitation of Colmar is the interweaving of modern architecture with colorful walls.

Close together are wooden houses with ancient red-brown tiled roofs and stylized window frames of various styles.

Colmar Tropicale gives you the feeling of being "lost" in Europe.

Along the village, there are many shops for visitors to stop for a drink or lunch. The menu is mainly European dishes such as French pastries, pasta, salads... Starbucks and the 7-Eleven convenience store chain are also present here.

There is also a children's play area inside.

Colmar Tropicale is both a destination and a resort and you can book a room here for the night. The rooms at Colmar Tropicale are also very affordable, ranging from only 1 - 3 million VND depending on the room type.

...is also an ideal check-in spot for many young people, a resort spot for Malaysian families on weekends.

Not far from the French village Colmar Tropicale, visitors can walk to the Japanese village to explore the Japanese tea house, the beautiful botanical garden or enjoy typical dishes of the land of the rising sun...; experience extremely interesting adventure games at Colmar park - which currently owns the longest Zipline lines in Southeast Asia.

In addition, the rabbit farm is also a stop not to be missed when exploring Bukit Tinggi town. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, this was a farm with hundreds of extremely adorable rabbits and many other animals living there such as peacocks, donkeys, guinea pigs... However, due to the impact of the pandemic, the farm has been reduced in scale, now only raising about 20 rabbits and a few hamsters, chickens, ducks...

An important note for visitors is that you cannot get to Colmar Tropicale by public transport because there are no trains or buses operating on this route. From the center of Kuala Lumpur, visitors can easily book a Grab for about 100,000 MYR (more than 500,000 VND) to Bukit Tinggi, but there will be no Grab on the way back. If you ask a local to call a taxi for you, you may have to pay double the price and wait for a long time. Please research carefully before going to avoid being left behind on this beautiful plateau!

Admission to Colmar Tropicale is MYR 15 for adults (about VND 85,000) and MYR 8 for children (over VND 40,000), which includes admission to the Japanese village, botanical garden and rabbit farm. However, if you book a hotel room at the Colmar Tropicale resort, the admission ticket will be refunded (the refund depends on the type of room you booked).
