Lang Son organizes Indian cultural exchange festival

(PLVN) - Lang Son Provincial People's Committee is preparing to organize the International Yoga Day and Indian Cultural Exchange in 2025.

Lang Son Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Embassy of India in Vietnam to organize the International Yoga Day and Indian Cultural Exchange 2025 for two days, May 30 and 31, 2025 in Lang Son city.

Ms. Le Hai Yen - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province said that this event aims to strengthen the friendship and cooperative relationship for mutual development between Lang Son province and the Embassy of India in Vietnam as well as localities of India, while promoting cultural connections, promoting the image of people, land, potential and strengths of Lang Son province internationally.

The opening ceremony of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange 2025 with the theme "Yoga - Connecting cultures, enhancing friendship" was held at 7:00 a.m. on May 31, 2025 at the Lang Son Provincial Fair and Exhibition Center (Tam Thanh Ward, Lang Son City) with special art performances and Yoga performances by 300 coaches and athletes from India and Vietnam.

Within the framework of the Festival, activities will take place such as: Promoting tourism and trade between Lang Son and India (9:00 a.m. on May 31, 2025 at Guest House A1); Vietnam - India cultural exhibition space (from 9:00 a.m. on May 30, 2025 to May 31, 2025 at the lobby of Vincom Plaza Trade Center).

In the Vietnam - India Cultural Exhibition Space program, there will be activities such as: Henna painting and Indian handicrafts; Indian cuisine, packaged food and fresh food, fresh Indian tea; herbal medicinal products; spiritual - meditation products; information, Indian tourism images of Travel Agents; demonstration of ethnic costumes of Lang Son province, performance of "The crowing of the rooster of Lang Son land"; experience of painting Lang Son Cat Lion masks; demonstration of traditional embroidery, weaving, making Cat Lion heads of Tay and Nung ethnic groups (Lang Son).

The International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange also has a number of other special activities such as: Participating in Yoga experiences and performances (From 6:00 a.m. on May 25, 2025 and 6:00 a.m. on May 30, 2025 at Tam Thanh Pagoda, Thanh Pagoda, Mac Citadel, Hoang Van Thu Monument Campus); "Shine Yoga" Contest (7:30 a.m. on May 30, 2025 to May 31, 2025 at the Sports Stadium); Organizing Indian Film Week in Lang Son (from May 30, 2025 to June 2, 2025 at Dong Kinh Cinema).
