Hue city leaders visit and offer congratulations on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday celebration, Buddhist calendar 2570.

On the morning of May 28th (corresponding to the 12th day of the 4th lunar month of the Year of the Horse), a delegation of leaders from the Hue City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hue City, visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hue City on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday Celebration PL.2570 - DL.2026.

Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Hoang Khanh Hung, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, City Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

At the meeting, City Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung extended his best wishes to the Venerable Monks and Nuns of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the city, and to all Buddhist followers on the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday Celebration PL.2570 - DL.2026.

The Party Secretary affirmed the role and positive contributions of Buddhism in the socio -economic development of the locality, as well as in patriotic emulation movements and social welfare activities. He also emphasized that Hue is aiming to build a "happy city," where cultural values, heritage, and spiritual life are preserved and promoted.

The City Party Secretary expressed his wish that the Venerable Monks and Nuns and Buddhist followers would continue to uphold the tradition of protecting the nation and ensuring the well-being of the people, and the spirit of unity and harmony of Vietnamese Buddhism; and continue to work alongside the Party Committee, the government, and the people of the city in the cause of building and developing Hue into an increasingly civilized, prosperous, and beautiful city.

Providing further information on the city's socio-economic development with many positive results, the City Party Secretary acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical contributions of Buddhism in social charity work, especially the spirit of mutual support and sharing with the community during recent natural disasters and floods.

Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung emphasized that Buddhism in the city has always been a positive factor in local movements, especially in sustainable poverty reduction and donating land for the construction of public works and social welfare projects. These contributions, which are meaningful and beneficial to both religion and society, have helped strengthen national unity and spread positive humanistic values ​​within the community.

On behalf of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City, Venerable Thich Khe Chon, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City, expressed his deep gratitude for the attention of the city leaders and departments to Buddhist activities in the past period.

Venerable Thich Khe Chon affirmed that in the coming time, the monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers of the city will continue to uphold the tradition of unity and solidarity with the nation, actively participate in activities that benefit both religion and society, and contribute to building a more developed Hue city.
