
Joining the delegation were Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
The Champasak provincial delegation was led by Mr. Souksavanh Vilayvong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Administrative Committee. Accompanying the delegation were leaders from the Provincial Party Committee and various provincial agencies.

During the meeting, Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation and the warm sentiments that the Party Committee, government, and people of Champasak province have shown towards Lam Dong province.
The Champasak delegation's visit took place in a special context, immediately following the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and on the eve of the traditional Lunar New Year.
This further affirms the special and loyal friendship between the two provinces; and at the same time, serves as a great source of encouragement for the Party Committee, government, and people of Lam Dong province.

After 18 years of establishing and implementing cooperative relations, the relationship between Lam Dong and Champasak has been continuously strengthened, becoming increasingly substantive, in-depth, and achieving many positive results in various fields.
The two provinces regularly maintain exchanges of delegations, visits, and cooperation, and coordinate the implementation of cooperation programs in the agricultural sector, especially in technology transfer and the development of production models.

In the field of education and training, Lam Dong province supports investment in facilities and teaching equipment for the Champasak-Lam Dong Friendship Gifted School. The province organizes the secondment of teachers, provides scholarships, trains Lao language students, and accepts Lao students to study at educational institutions in the province.

After the administrative reorganization, the new Lam Dong province has a natural area of over 24,000 km² (the largest in Vietnam), a population of approximately 3.9 million people, and diverse geographical conditions, including plateaus, midlands, and coastal areas.
The province possesses abundant natural resources, especially bauxite and titanium, with the largest reserves in the country. In addition, it has many advantages in terms of sea, forests, seaports, border crossings, and a strategic geographical location, creating a foundation for the development of tourism, high-tech agriculture, processing industries, marine economy, and renewable energy.
The Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee informed about the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and congratulated the important results of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

In the coming period, Lam Dong province hopes to continue strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Champasak province from 2026 to 2030. The cooperation will focus on complementary areas such as high-tech agriculture, human resource training, tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. Both sides will collaborate to develop and sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the next phase in 2026.
We believe that the friendly cooperative relationship between the two localities will continue to develop strongly, contributing to the further strengthening of the Vietnam-Laos friendship.

Comrade Souksavanh Vilayvong agreed to expedite the signing of a cooperation agreement between Lam Dong and Champasak provinces in 2026.
