From March 5 to 7, the delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the 40th Anniversary of the founding of Bolikhamxay province, Lao PDR.

Joining the working delegation were representatives of leaders of departments and branches: Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, and Department of Foreign Affairs.

Welcoming the delegation were comrade Kong-keo Xay-song-kham - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary, Governor of Bolikhamxay province, comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

In the jubilant atmosphere of the great festival celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of Bolikhamxay province, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu thanked Bolikhamxay province for its thoughtful and warm welcome. The delegation of Nghe An province presented gifts and sent best wishes to the Party Committee, government and people of Lao ethnic groups in Bolikhamxay province on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the province.

The two sides informed about some important contents about the socio -economic situation, and at the same time assessed the increasingly effective cooperation results between the two provinces in recent times such as: Organizing many exchange activities, visiting and wishing each other a happy new year, exchanging experiences in Party building, government and People's Council activities; cooperation activities in the fields of transportation, tourism, trade; creating conditions for people of both sides to meet, exchange, trade goods, trade transactions; investment, production and business activities of Nghe An enterprises in Bolikhamxay province continue to be maintained.

Support capacity training; coordinate the implementation of border management and protection, ensure security and order, fight against all types of crimes; promote the relationship between villages and border guards; create conditions for citizens of Nghe An province to stay and reside in Bolikhamxay province.

The two sides affirmed that the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Bolikhamxay provinces has been increasingly consolidated, developed and expanded; contributing to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Party and State of Vietnam and Laos in general, as well as contributing to the socio-economic development of each province in particular.

Within the framework of the Celebration program in Bolikhamxay province, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu and the delegation attended the Tac Bat Ceremony (traditional Lao Buddhist ceremony); visited the Laos-Thailand Friendship Bridge 5 (Pak Xan-Bung Can).
