Yosakoi Dance Performance

Yosakoi dance originated in Japan, born right after World War II ended, at this time the whole country of Japan fell into a state of crisis, life was extremely miserable. The Japanese people created a joyful dance, attracting a large number of participants with an optimistic spirit and strong vitality, with smiles always on their lips, transmitting positive energy to the audience.

Because of that, Yosakoi gradually spread widely throughout Japan, was accepted by everyone and became one of the unique cultural features of Japan. And then, Yosakoi spread to many countries around the world , including Vietnam.

Up to now, many Yosakoi clubs in Vietnam have been established and have grown stronger in both quantity and quality. Some of our Yosakoi clubs have been invited by Japan to attend the Yosakoi Festival in their country and have won a number of awards from them. This program is implemented by the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Association and Vietnamese Yosakoi Clubs.

1. Nui Truc Sakura Yosakoi Team - Nui Truc Sakura Yosakoi is the first Yosakoi team born in Vietnam. Coming to this festival, the team wishes to introduce to the audience the performance "Phong Chi Vu - Mong sac cau mua", a performance inspired by the image of a bright rainbow appearing after the rain.

2. Team Hanuyo - Hanuyo will bring to the audience the performance "Thousand years of flowing water, life flourishes", the journey of water through thousands of seas, pouring out many sources of life, closely associated with the lives of Vietnamese people.

3. Team Nishinami Yosakoi - Nishinami Yosakoi will bring to the audience the performance "Ishin no Kotodama", inspired by the romantic, fierce, and aspirational poems of the Meiji Restoration.

4. SIE Yosakoi Team - SIE Yosakoi will present the performance "Ruishu - Chau Le", telling the story of the true meaning of life and love through the eyes of a cat who has lived a million lives. Inspired by the story "The Cat of a Million Lives" by author Sano Youko.

5. Taiyou Yosakoi Team - Taiyou in Japanese means both Sun and Ocean. The team wishes to shine like the sun and be as vast as the ocean. Taiyou Yosakoi will bring the audience the performance "Rainbow for a New Beginning".

6. Hanoi Sennen Yosakoi Team - Hanoi Sennen Yosakoi is a Yosakoi team founded in Hanoi . The team's performance is called "Hai Lac", telling the story of the ocean and the will of man before nature.
