According to information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 79/KH-UBND dated February 17, 2025, on industrial promotion in the province. Accordingly, seven rural industrial units and establishments will receive financial support to implement several activities aimed at leveraging strengths, increasing added value, and enhancing the competitiveness of their products.

In 2025, Lao Cai province will encourage and support organizations, individuals, and economic sectors to invest in and develop industrial and handicraft production in the area to leverage strengths, conserve resources, and especially enhance the added value and competitiveness of goods. At the same time, it will develop rural industrial establishments in sectors with potential, strengths, and competitiveness in the domestic and export markets; focusing on supporting the following sectors: processing of agricultural and forestry products, medicinal herbs, and handicrafts.

Provincial-level industrial promotion support includes two units: the Investment and Trade Promotion Center; and support for provincial businesses and the Department of Industry and Trade in implementing four tasks and projects…

District-level industrial promotion programs supported five rural industrial establishments in Lao Cai City, Bac Ha District, and Muong Khuong District with five projects, including: supporting investment in machinery and equipment for the production of civil wood products (Ly Seo So establishment, Bac Ha District); supporting machinery and equipment for agricultural product processing (Sung Pao establishment, Muong Khuong District); supporting machinery and equipment for mechanical processing (Minh Linh Construction and Trading Company Limited, Lao Cai City); supporting machinery and equipment for mechanical processing (Nguyen Ngoc Thai establishment, Lao Cai City); and supporting machinery and equipment for the production of tea bags using automated machines (Green Agricultural Pharmaceutical and Technology Joint Stock Company, Lao Cai City).

The total budget for implementing tasks and projects in 2025 is over 4.1 billion VND. Of this, over 1.2 billion VND will be provided as support from industrial promotion funds (provincial and district-level industrial promotion funds), and nearly 2.9 billion VND will be contributed by the beneficiary units.
