This morning, April 6, information from Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 5, Traffic Police Department (abbreviated as Traffic Police Team No. 5) said that in order to support vehicles in promptly handling incidents on the road, receiving reports related to traffic safety and violations occurring on the Cam Lo - La Son highway, from April 1, the unit has set up a hotline, then printed on leaflets and distributed to vehicle drivers.

Accordingly, in addition to information on the hotline 0949.05.06.08 of Traffic Police Team No. 5 so that when discovering others or themselves having problems on the road, they can contact for guidance and support, the Traffic Police force also asks drivers to provide information and images when discovering vehicles with traffic violations for handling.

In addition, the content of the leaflets that this unit distributed to drivers traveling on the Cam Lo - La Son expressway also instructed and suggested that vehicle owners, drivers, organizations and individuals doing transportation business should stick reflective paper on the back of their vehicles to create awareness for other vehicles; equip warning devices to use when the vehicle has an accident on the road.

According to the Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 5, Major Le Xuan Thuong, from April 1 to 4:00 p.m. on April 5, the hotline of the Cam Lo - La Son Expressway Traffic Police Center received 18 reports. Of these, 14 vehicles had tire explosions, 1 report of administrative violations of road traffic safety and 4 reports of unsafe road structures.

For information about incidents, the command center immediately notifies the nearest traffic police force on duty to arrive promptly, ensure traffic safety and assist the vehicle driver in resolving the incident, and call for rescue when the vehicle driver cannot resolve the incident himself.

Regarding administrative violations of road traffic safety, the command center has notified the traffic police team on duty to stop the vehicle, check and verify and handle it according to regulations. In addition, some reports on unsafe road works will be transferred to the hotline of the Road Management Office II.5 for quick handling.

“From the hotline, vehicles with problems were promptly handled by our traffic police force. In fact, many drivers later sent their thanks to the traffic police force,” Major Thuong added.
