Fulfill your dreams on the full moon night
Overcoming a long and muddy road left over from the recent floods caused by storm No. 10, Pickup Club 74QT, in collaboration with philanthropists, coordinated with the People's Committee and Youth Union of Trieu Phong commune to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for children - Sharing love" at Tram school (belonging to Trieu Thuong Secondary School).
At the school yard located on a high hill, more than 140 children from 3 levels: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and many local people were present with smiles always on their faces. The opening of the program was a series of special performances with circus and lion dance performances that brought a bustling atmosphere and joy to the children and the people of Tram "oasis".
Dressed up in her costume, preparing to participate in the performance, Nguyen Vo Trang, class 8C, Tram school happily said: “Our Tram village is far from the central area, so the travel conditions are very difficult. This is the first time I have participated in such a big Mid-Autumn Festival program, I feel very happy and warm on the full moon night.”

Receiving the sparkling lanterns in various shapes and gifts, Vo Van Tuan, a 5th grader at Tram school, happily played and showed them off to his friends. Tuan innocently said that this was the first time he had participated in a Mid-Autumn Festival program with so many participants.
“Every Mid-Autumn Festival, we always wish to go back to the city (old Quang Tri town) to watch the lion dance, but the road is too difficult so our parents cannot take us there. But this year, our uncles and aunts have brought the Mid-Autumn Festival back to us. Tonight, I got to see the circus performers, watch the lion dance, the Earth God fan dance, and watch the performances right in the village, so I feel very happy,” Tuan said.
Mr. Vo Hong Phong, head of Tram village, said that the whole village currently has 131 households with more than 520 people. The lives of the people here mainly depend on agricultural production and working on the river, so economic conditions are still difficult. However, in recent years, children from preschool to secondary school in Tram village have been cared for by the school, local authorities and organizations, who have tried to organize a happy and suitable Mid-Autumn Festival.
“This year the joy is multiplied as the children get to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on a larger scale and in a more vibrant atmosphere thanks to the support of philanthropists. Seeing the children happy, we also feel very excited,” Mr. Phong confided.
Together we take care of children
For the children in Tram “oasis” who are still facing many difficulties, the program “Mid-Autumn Festival for Children – Sharing Love” has truly brought an unforgettable atmosphere. The full moon festival also seems to have given them more joy, confidence and motivation to study better, building dreams for a bright future.
Mr. Tran Duc Nam, Principal of Trieu Thuong Secondary School, informed that Tram school is a remote school with difficulties, especially in terms of transportation. According to Mr. Nam, this school is often flooded and isolated during the rainy season. The road leading to the school is narrow, the hills are steep and winding and always in a state of "dusty sun, muddy rain". Therefore, the students' education also suffers many disadvantages and shortages. Despite such difficulties, every Mid-Autumn Festival, the school tries to call for resources to organize for the students to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Teacher Nam shared: “We are very grateful for the attention of the government, the commune and village organizations and the generosity of the donors who organized this meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival. This is also an opportunity for the children at Tram school to receive warm sharing, affection and feel a cozy, complete and grand Mid-Autumn Festival like this. Thereby, bringing joy and confidence to help them firmly step on the path of learning, becoming useful citizens for their families and society.”

Therefore, we discussed and joined forces to mobilize resources to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival for them. For the children in this "oasis" of Tram, though "near but far", the meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival will remain in their childhood souls with beautiful memories to look forward to a bright future.
