Strengthening propaganda on security, order and traffic safety in schools

Since the beginning of the school year, schools in the province have proactively coordinated with authorities to carry out many legal education activities, promote traffic safety and security, gradually equipping students with self-protection skills, handling situations and forming a culture of law compliance and safe traffic participation.

Duy Tan High School (Binh Kien Ward) in coordination with the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police recently organized propaganda and dissemination of legal education on traffic safety and order for 1,200 high school students.

At the propaganda session, Major Nguyen Van Trung, an officer of the Traffic Police Department, disseminated knowledge, shared experiences and instructed students on how to handle common situations when participating in traffic; reminded students to maintain regulations on wearing helmets when riding motorbikes and electric bicycles, driving in the correct lane, not speeding, etc. "Traffic safety is not only the responsibility of every citizen but also a necessary provision for students, helping them become young, conscious citizens, contributing to building a safe and civilized community," Major Nguyen Van Trung affirmed.

Nguyen Hue High School (Tuy Hoa Ward) has also coordinated with the Ward Police to propagate ensuring security and order, traffic safety for 1,656 students. Mr. Le Thanh Phuong, Principal of Nguyen Hue High School, shared that in addition to coordinating with the Ward Police and Traffic Police to propagate, the school also organizes the integration of traffic safety education content into collective activities such as: flag salute, class activities, school radio. The school also organized for students and parents to sign a commitment to ensure traffic safety and register vehicles to go to school for the 2025-2026 school year...

At the primary level, legal education is implemented in accordance with the age and actual conditions of each school such as: integrating into the content of moral education, cheerleading activities... Ms. Phan Thi Xuan, Principal of Krong Buk Primary School (Ea Kly commune) said that after disseminating documents related to traffic safety, the school will organize the game "Who is fast, who is right" with related questions for students to answer. Homeroom teachers also disseminate content related to traffic safety to parents through the first parent meeting of the year, in class groups; thoroughly educate students on safe traffic participation (wearing helmets when riding motorbikes; how to cross the road safely...).

Vo Hoang Chau, class 12A3, Le Hong Phong High School (Tay Hoa commune), shared: “The propaganda session on ensuring order and traffic safety at school was very practical. My friends and I watched clips about traffic accidents related to violations such as: speeding, not obeying traffic lights and signs, violating alcohol concentration, carrying more people than prescribed, weaving, using phones while driving…”.

According to Mr. Vo Quoc Phong, Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School (Krong Pac Commune), the coordination between the police force and the school in propagating security and traffic safety to students is highly effective because there are real stories and specific warnings; legal lectures become closer and more important. In addition, police officers also advise and support teachers in handling issues related to cyber security, school violence, social evils, etc. These are necessary actions that contribute to building safe schools.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Luu Tien Quang, ensuring security and order and traffic safety is one of the important contents that the department has thoroughly implemented in the entire sector since the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. Educational institutions need to promote initiative and creativity in coordinating with commune-level authorities and functional agencies in educating, propagating, and mobilizing students to maintain a civilized lifestyle and cultural behavior in public places; proactively grasp the situation, promptly prevent and handle violations of traffic safety, laws, social evils, and prevent school violence, contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy educational environment.
