Dak Lieng currently has 13 cooperatives operating in the agricultural and service sectors. Over the years, these cooperatives have acted as facilitators, helping farmers to connect, improve quality, and stabilize product output. Among them, the Thai Hai Agricultural and Fisheries Production and Service Cooperative is one of the leading cooperatives in linking agricultural production and consumption in the commune.

With its advantage of fertile alluvial soil, Dak Lieng commune is striving to successfully build a distinctive local rice brand. |
Established in 2012, the cooperative has implemented numerous models and projects in collaboration with businesses inside and outside the province to improve the productivity, output, and value of rice and rice seeds. In the 2018-2019 period, the cooperative planned production areas and implemented a large-scale farming model covering 200 hectares, attracting 124 participating households, with a total rice output of 3,780 tons sold through collaborative agreements. From 2020 to 2025, the cooperative expanded its collaborations, signing production and consumption contracts with major partners such as Cuong Tan Co., Ltd. (Nam Dinh), Thai Binh Golden Seed Joint Stock Company, and Vietnam Seed Corporation - Central Highlands Branch, with a total consumption volume of 6,273 tons.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Con, Director of the Cooperative, said that through production linkages along the value chain, member farmers are guaranteed stable output and better prices, while also gaining access to advanced production processes and high-quality rice varieties. This model not only increases the scale of commodity production but also serves as a foundation for building the brand of Dak Lieng commune's rice, closely linked to the development of OCOP products.
Besides the development of the collective economy , high-income private economic models in Dak Lieng commune also play an important role in creating motivation and a foundation to help local people apply and improve their lives.
One example is the duck egg farming model of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha's family in Buon Tung 1 village. Currently, with a flock of about 10,000 ducks, when reaching optimal production, her family can harvest approximately 8,000 eggs per day. With wholesale duck egg prices ranging from 3,000 to 3,100 VND per egg, her family earns over 20 million VND per day.

The duck egg farming model has provided a stable source of income for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha's family in Buon Tung 1 village, Dak Lieng commune for over 16 years. |
“Dak Lieng has vast rice paddies and abundant food sources, which are very favorable for duck farming. Utilizing local food sources not only helps reduce production costs but also ensures the quality of free-range duck eggs, a specialty of Dak Lieng commune,” Ms. Ha said.
Not only Ms. Ha's family, but many households in the commune are also adopting the model of raising ducks for egg production as an effective economic development direction.
Mr. To Tuan Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lieng commune, said that in the coming time, the local Party committee and government will continue to encourage households and cooperatives to strengthen the application of science and technology in production and business; create conditions for people to consolidate land plots to invest in production, creating large-scale commodity production areas. At the same time, they will proactively seek partners and investment capital, and build production plans linked to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction in the locality.
