Groundbreaking ceremony of the Trang An River Bridge Construction Project

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Project.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Song Tung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Van Tien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee. Also attending were leaders of relevant departments and branches; leaders of Hoa Lu city and Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise.

The project to build a bridge across Trang An River at the intersection of Le Thai To Street and Trang An Street, Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City (now Hoa Lu City) was approved by the City People's Council in Resolution No. 39 dated October 10, 2024; The City People's Committee organized a competition and approved the results of the competition for the project's architectural plan.

The project has a construction investment scale including: Traffic bridge; Pedestrian bridge and watchtower. At both ends of the bridge, an underpass is arranged to connect pedestrians from the promenade on both sides of the river to the pedestrian bridge and watchtower. The roads and intersections at both ends of the bridge are invested in completion and synchronously connected with the traffic system and technical infrastructure at both ends of the bridge. The total investment of the project is over 179 billion VND from the city budget. Project implementation period: 2024-2027.

This is one of the key symbolic projects of the city in the new development stage. The completed project will gradually complete and connect the waterway traffic network between areas, focusing on Trang An, Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area with neighboring areas, contributing to the synchronous completion of urban traffic infrastructure, urban drainage, ensuring traffic safety for vehicles, people and tourists, promoting the development of services, tourism, socio -economics.

In order for the project to be constructed on schedule, ensuring quality and safety according to the proposed plan, the leaders of Hoa Lu City People's Committee requested: Relevant departments, offices, units and localities continue to proactively coordinate closely, advise on solutions, and promptly remove difficulties arising during the project implementation process; coordinate to create favorable conditions for the construction unit so that the project can be completed on schedule.
