On December 19, 2025, in Quy Nhon Tay ward, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and his delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Center Project in Quy Nhon Tay and Quy Nhon Bac wards, Gia Lai province. The center is planned on an area of ​​11.13 hectares with a total investment of 613 billion VND, comprising three main functional zones: an Artificial Intelligence Research and Digital Technology Service Production Center; a Research, Application and Testing Zone for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs); and a Data Infrastructure Center. On the morning of December 19, 2025, along with 79 other locations nationwide simultaneously commencing construction, inauguration, and technical opening of 234 projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the inauguration ceremony of the Long Thanh International Airport construction project – Phase 1 and the launch of the first official flight took place solemnly.
