Inauguration ceremony of President To Lam

Before the National Assembly and compatriots and voters nationwide, President To Lam performed the oath of office ceremony.

On the morning of May 22, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on electing the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term with 472/473 delegates participating in the vote (accounting for 96.92% of the total number of delegates). Accordingly, Mr. To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security , and delegate of the 15th National Assembly, holds the position of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term. According to the provisions of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President To Lam performed the oath of office. Before the National Assembly and the people and voters nationwide, President To Lam swore: "Under the sacred red flag with yellow star of the Fatherland, before the National Assembly and the people and voters nationwide, I, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, swear: to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the People and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to strive to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the People." After performing the oath-taking ceremony, President To Lam delivered his inaugural speech.
