Lehmann divorces wife after 25 years of marriage

Conny and Lehmann were once the beautiful couple of German football.

In an interview with Bild , Conny was reserved when talking about her divorce. She only briefly shared: "I am single and very happy." Conny's divorce from the former Arsenal goalkeeper has become a hot topic in Germany recently.

Conny and Lehmann met in 1995 and married in October 1999. They have two children together: Mats, 24, and Lieselotta, 18. Lehmann also adopted Conny's child from a previous relationship with former Borussia Dortmund and Germany midfielder Knut Reinhardt.

The relationship has been rocky in the past, but things took a turn for the worse last year when Lehmann began behaving erratically.

Sources close to both revealed that Conny could not stand Lehmann's hot-tempered and reckless personality. In 2023, the former Germany international was involved in a major controversy when he was fined £112,000 by a Munich court for attacking his neighbour's garage with a chainsaw.

He was given a 10-month suspended sentence and fined more than £350,000. Then, during the 2024 Oktoberfest, Lehmann was charged with drunk driving. The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. when police pulled him over and detected the smell of alcohol on his breath through the window.

Kicker reported that Lehmann got out of the car, vomited twice on the side of the road, and was unable to produce his driving license because he was so drunk. Lehmann eventually had his license revoked and was fined €1,000 for driving under the influence. The judge said Lehmann had shown “inappropriate behavior” in court.
