Liam Delap was accused of making a mistake by not choosing MU, instead agreeing to sign a 6-year contract with Chelsea, with a transfer fee of 30 million pounds.

Liam Delap has agreed personal terms with Chelsea , according to the Athletic.

The Ipswich Town striker will sign a six-year deal with Chelsea, after completing a medical (expected to be completed today, Monday - June 2).

Chelsea have agreed to trigger a £30m release clause to sign Delap, who has expressed his desire to play at Stamford Bridge rather than other clubs, including Manchester United .

According to former Watford striker Troy Deeney, the 22-year-old star “missed out on a development process ” by choosing Chelsea over United.

“ When I look at his development, I think United is the perfect choice. Coming to Old Trafford at this stage of his career, and with the Red Devils like they are now, Delap will gain valuable experience and become the man to bring the team back to where they deserve to be.
