The leader of Quang Ngai Lottery Company Limited said that the revenue from lottery ticket sales from the beginning of 2024 to now has reached nearly 239 billion VND, reaching 55% of the yearly plan, up 9.7% over the same period in 2023. The company paid more than 67 billion VND to the state budget, reaching nearly 63% of the yearly plan, up 24.7% over the same period last year. Profit after tax reached nearly 11 billion VND, up more than 5.6% over the same period in 2023. Achieving the above results, in addition to the attention and direction of the province, the coordination of departments, branches, agencies and units in the province, is the solidarity and efforts of the company. Especially the level 1 agents play an important role, flexibly operating in lottery ticket consumption.

Quang Ngai Lottery Company Limited currently has 10 level 1 lottery ticket agents; of which, there is 1 agent in Binh Son district, 1 agent in Duc Pho town and 8 agents in Quang Ngai city. Most of the level 1 agent network is enthusiastic and committed to the company in the process of issuing and consuming traditional lottery tickets.
Director of Lottery Company Limited, Len Huong Nguyen Len shared, we are a level 1 agent of Quang Ngai Lottery Company Limited. The company receives 55 thousand lottery tickets/period, the sales target must reach more than 25 thousand lottery tickets. To achieve the target, the company has mobilized retail forces inside and outside the province. If this place is not achieved, the company flexibly mobilizes forces to concentrate in more favorable areas to sell lottery tickets. Thanks to that, lottery tickets are sold smoothly in the market.
According to Director of Quang Ngai Lottery Company Limited Le Minh Son, the company's scope of operation is in 12 provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions. The company issues 2 million lottery tickets/period. Each week, the company opens one period on Saturday. To ensure the number of tickets sold according to the operating target, the company has assigned each agent to sell 30 - 40% of the tickets/period. In the current difficult context, the company has flexibly monitored the revenue results of each province by period. If any province has a low number of lottery tickets sold, the company will analyze the cause and flexibly transfer the tickets to other markets. The agents and 6 representative offices in the Central - Central Highlands region of the company have been thoroughly informed of this policy, so in the first months of 2024, revenue increased sharply. Thanks to effective operations, the company annually contributes more than 100 billion VND to the state budget to invest in welfare projects in the fields of health and education .
It is forecasted that from now until the end of 2024, Quang Ngai Lottery Company Limited will face difficulties, especially since from July 1, 2024, the Ministry of Finance allows to increase the sales limit of traditional lottery tickets for lottery companies in the Central region from 20 billion VND/company/opening day to 30 billion VND/company/opening day. Therefore, printing and transportation costs will increase, collecting mortgages as well as ensuring payment obligations to agents in accordance with regulations will be very difficult.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance, the lottery ticket issuance schedule on Saturday has the following lottery companies: Quang Ngai, Da Nang and Dak Nong issuing tickets on the market of 14 provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highlands region. Therefore, the revenue from lottery ticket sales will be much lower than that of companies issuing on other days of the week. Due to the distinction between stations and regions, the lottery companies on the same day of drawing are very competitive.
In addition, the lottery ticket issuance market in 14 provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region is quite large, so the costs of transportation, travel, customer relations, and large representative office rental have affected the company's business performance. Therefore, the relevant departments and agencies should base on the company's business results in the last 6 months of 2024 to plan for 2025 and the following years accordingly, in order to create conditions for the company to perform its assigned tasks well.
