Serious camera error on iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air, Apple releases urgent patch

Even though they haven't been released yet, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air have encountered a serious error, creating black blurs and white streaks in photos.

Apple is planning to release a fix for a camera bug on the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro. CNN reporter Henry Casey discovered the issue in his review of the iPhone Air while taking photos at a concert, with the photo showing a black cutout and white streak.

Accordingly, one in 10 images taken with the ‌iPhone Air‌ or ‌iPhone 17 Pro‌ showed "small, dark sections, including boxes and parts of white squiggly lines" displayed on the LED panel at the event.

Apple told Casey that this is an issue that can occur in "very rare cases where the LED display is extremely bright and shining directly into the camera." Apple has a fix and plans to release it in an upcoming software update.

However, the "Apple" company has not provided a specific release timeline for the software update.

The iPhone 17 Pro has a camera cluster that includes a 48MP Fusion Main lens with an ƒ/1.78 aperture, supporting second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization and 100% Focus Pixels for detailed photos. In addition, the device also has a 48MP Ultra Wide lens with a 120° field of view and a 48MP Telephoto camera with a tetraprism design, providing up to 8x zoom and up to 40x digital zoom.

Meanwhile, the iPhone Air only has a 48MP Fusion camera. However, the custom main lens supports 28mm and 35mm focal lengths, giving users more options for framing. Users can zoom in more on the subject with optical quality 2x Telephoto.

For the first time, Vietnam is among the first markets in the world to sell Apple phones (at the same time as the US). Accordingly, the new iPhones will be available to buyers from 8am on September 19 with the iPhone 17, iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max models.
