'Pigcasso', a thousand-dollar painting artist, passes away

Pigcasso, the pig dubbed " the world's most successful animal artist" and who once had his own exhibition of paintings, died at nearly 8 years old.

Lefson said Pigcasso was "very smart, creative and gentle", expressing gratitude for collaborating with the pig artist over the years.

This animal was also the first to have its own exhibition in 2018. All proceeds from the sale of the paintings were donated to Farm Sanctuary SA, a sanctuary for rescued animals in South Africa.
