LPBank mobilizes 2,000 billion VND in bonds

Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( LPBank - HoSE: LPB) has just announced the results of its bond offering to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

Accordingly, the bank issued to the domestic market bond code LPBL2427006 with a face value of VND 1 billion/bond, volume of 2,000 bonds, equivalent to a total value of VND 2,000 billion on October 4. The bond lot has a term of 3 years, expected to mature in 2027. The issuance interest rate is 5.4%/year.

According to data on HNX, from the beginning of 2024 to now, LPBank has mobilized a total of 6 bond lots with a total value of VND 4,310 billion. In October 2024 alone, the bank mobilized 2 bond codes with a total face value of VND 2,330 billion.

On the other hand, at the end of September, LPBank also bought back bonds before maturity for 2 bond codes LPBL2326003 and LPBL2325004 on September 26 and 27, 2024.

Accordingly, on September 26, the bank conducted an early repurchase of VND 2,000 billion worth of bonds coded LPBL2326003. The bond lot was issued on September 26, 2023, with a term of 3 years and is expected to mature in 2026.

On September 27, the bank bought back VND 1,500 billion worth of bonds coded LPBL2325004 issued on September 27, 2023, with a term of 2 years, expected to mature in 2025. The total value of the 2 bonds that LPBank bought back was VND 3,500 billion.

Since the beginning of the year, LPBank has repurchased 3 bonds ahead of schedule with a total value of VND4,500 billion.

Regarding banking operations, LPBank plans to hold an extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders next November to approve the election of additional members to the Board of Directors.

Accordingly, the bank plans to elect two additional independent members to the Board of Directors, bringing the total number of Board members to nine, including three independent members. The list of candidates for the Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term includes two individuals: Ms. Vuong Thi Huyen and Mr. Yew Teong Soon Alan.

On the stock market, at the end of the session on October 14, LPB shares decreased by 1.22% compared to the previous session to VND32,450/share with a trading volume of more than 3.3 million units.

Since the beginning of the year, LPB's stock price has increased by 128.52% from the reference price of VND 14,200/share with an average trading volume of nearly 4.4 million units/day.
