The reason why the Miss World 2023 pageant was chosen to be held in India

The Miss World website announced that India will host the 2023 Miss World pageant. Previously, the UAE (United Arab Emirates) was chosen as the host.

On June 8, the Miss World homepage posted an article titled "India to host the 71st Miss World 2023: Celebrating beauty for a noble cause." Accordingly, the Miss World 2023 pageant is scheduled to take place in late 2023 in India instead of the UAE as announced last February.

Specifically, in the announcement, the Organizing Committee wrote: "The Miss World Organization is pleased to announce that India has been selected as the host country for the 71st Miss World pageant. The decision to give India this honor is in recognition of the country's rich cultural heritage, commitment to promoting diversity and passion for women's empowerment."

India was chosen as the host country for the 2023 Miss World pageant.

Julia Morley, President of Miss World, said: "I am delighted to announce India as the new home of the 71st Miss World Final. I have had a great affection for India since I first visited this wonderful country more than 30 years ago.

Before UAE and India, the Miss World Organizing Committee revealed that three countries, Poland, Japan and Singapore, also expressed their desire to host the Miss World 2023 contest. However, after field surveys, the Organizing Committee realized that the most suitable place for one of the biggest beauty pageants on the planet to take place is India.

In the history of the Miss World contest, India has had a representative crowned at this beauty contest. That beauty is Aishwarya Rai, she won the Miss World contest in 1994. To this day, she is still considered the pride of Indian beauty on the world beauty map. Aishwarya Rai works in the arts in Hollywood and was voted by the Global Beauties website as the most beautiful Miss of all time with a record score of 9.91.

Contestants from over 90 countries are expected to gather in India at the end of the year to showcase their talents, intelligence and philanthropic projects. The beauties will participate in many sub-contests, including talent shows, sports challenges, and charity initiatives to find the brightest face for the title of Miss World 2023.

The current Miss World crown holder is Polish beauty Karolina Bielawska. The 23-year-old beauty surpassed 96 contestants of Miss World 2021 to win the highest crown in March 2022. Karolina Bielawska is 1.76m tall and has a sweet, doll-like beauty.

Vietnam's representative at Miss World 2023 is Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong (born 1999). She is 1.7m tall, has a sharp face and good speaking ability. Mai Phuong has an advantage in performance skills and expressions in front of the camera. She graduated from Dong Nai University with a degree in Business English. Currently, the beauty is studying for a master's degree in English at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, and achieved an IELTS score of 8.0.
