On the morning of June 26, at the exam site of Vu Quang High School ( Ha Tinh ), candidate Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (former student of class 12A5, Cu Huy Can High School) was helped by volunteers into the room to take the first exam of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
The image moved many parents and candidates to see Nhan's determination to overcome adversity and excel in her studies.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan is one of three disabled candidates at Vu Quang High School (Ha Tinh) who is exempted from the high school graduation exam this year, but she still registered to take the exam like other students.
Sharing with VietnamNet reporter, teacher Vo Quang Hoa, homeroom teacher of class 12A5 (Cu Huy Can High School) said, Nhan is a student with congenital disabilities, has many difficulties in walking and communicating, but in the learning process, she has never given up, she always tries and makes efforts in studying.
According to Mr. Hoa, Nhan studies all subjects equally, and has been a good student for many years. Although she is exempted from the graduation exam, she told her teachers and the school about her wish to still register for the high school graduation exam in 2025 like her friends. She studied hard and determined to take the exam to be admitted to university. In the high school graduation exam, Nhan registered to take the subjects of Literature, Math, History, and Economic and Legal Education.
"Nhan shared with me that she continues to pursue her education, determined to do her best. Her dream is to study pedagogy or graphic design at university," said Mr. Hoa.
Teacher Hoa added that the great thing about Nhan is that even though her health is not good, facing an important exam, she studied without eating or sleeping with the determination to get the highest score.
It is known that Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan was born into a farming family in the mountainous district of Vu Quang. Although she is not as fortunate as other students, she has never given up in the past 12 years.
The distance from home to school is about 8km, my father takes me to school every day. Without any inferiority complex, I study hard to prove that I can achieve academic results like normal people.
